Hall Monitor - help keep the hall clear and campers moving towards the fellowship hall for breakfast and to get ready for the day Driver - Help carry campers to designated work sites Morning Crew shift is from 7am to 9am - Campers are slow to move in the mornings and need more encouragement to get moving. Extra drivers over 23 years of age are always needed. Evening CrewEvening Crew shift is from 4pm to 10pm. There are 2 hour shifts available. We need monitors for the hallways going to each dorm, monitors for the Coffee Spot, garage, and basketball court. Monitors are there to make sure that opposites sex are not going down the dorm halls, campers aren't hanging out in dorm rooms, campers aren't by themselves, and are there to listen to the campers if needed. Help with the materials and tools is needed in the afternoon to get all supplies ready for the next day. Kitchen help in the evening to help prepare lunches and snack. Drivers are need in the afternoons to get campers back from the work sites. ***Please note there will be no childcare during the evening***What Evening Crew area(s) are you interested in? Volunteers should support Helping Hands Mission Camp mission Volunteers are MUST maintain a high standard of integrity and professionalism when interacting with campers, mini campers, other volunteers, and on worksites Volunteers should not spend time alone with campers. Always be in sight of others when talking to campers Volunteers should not have private meetings with campers but if the need should arise, then a member of the Executive Board MUST be notified Volunteers should not be alone in a room with campers Volunteers are being looked at as mentors Volunteers must wear clothing that is deemed appropriate for Church retreats – no clothes that show midriff, spaghetti straps, tube tops, muscle shirts etc. Shorts/Skirts must be appropriate length Clothing must not have inappropriate messages (alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, violent, or sexual) Closed toed shoes must be worn at worksites Although physical affection can have an appropriate place in ministry, volunteers should use discretion as to the frequency and type of physical affection they provide to campers All information is confidential unless seeking advice from Executive Board Volunteers are asked to report to members of the Executive Board any of the following: o Physical Abuse o Sexual Abuse o Suicidal Threats o Life Threatening Situations o Pregnancy o Run Away Situations o Confessions of a Crime o Criminal Behavior All volunteers are responsible to take action if campers are breaking any rule of Helping Hands Mission Camp.
